Born in Arkansas and raised on a steady diet of late-night talk shows, Gene studied acting under award-winning playwright and director Robert Ford at the University of Arkansas. As a grad student, he helped launch the school’s first improv team, Laugh Track & Field.

Since 2017, Gene has performed professionally as a comedian and actor on national television.
